I’ve just written my first ever personal letter to someone! 
Isn’t that bad? It is to my ex as they got in touch with me the day before yesterday wanting to be “friends” and all that crap so I’ve had to write a letter to nip the whole thing in the bud cos I don’t want to be friends with someone I cannot trust and with someone who completely humiliated me. We had to unplug the phone as well… they just wouldn’t give up! But, I’m taking it as a first of many cos I like to receive hand-written letters and would like to start writing to my friends via hand-written letters with pretty lil drawings and everything. Woop!
Anyhow, a lil rant about sixth form. We leave sixth form for study leave for our A-level exams on May 22 (although I have 3 exams before that which I don’t understand). Therefore, we’re finishing our course content and we’re starting to revise. 
Unfortunately, my teachers seem to think that exam practice is the best way to revise. 
Okay, I admit that it is but it’s the kind of thing that I like to do near the time of the exams rather than now. To make things worse, they’re not setting us exact dates on when we’re having them so it is literally “Right, you have a MOCK in the next 2 weeks” which makes me go “Are you not going to tell us?” which is followed by an ironically evil “No”. They may as well cackle after that!!! So yeah, that is pretty annoying.
On to the news, which you have probably all guessed is an interest of mine! This whole swine-flu is kinda scary. At first I was just like… “HA! Swine-Flu! That has a funny name” but now it is starting to sound pretty darn serious with 176 people having died of it in Mexico and 5 people being confirmed with having it in England. *gulps* Apparently, by the end of this year 40% of the British population will have had it or will have it. Now, surely that isn’t good?! Anyhow, being a bit of a history geek, I decided to do some research on past flu pandemics. What I discovered made my jaw-drop. In 1918, there was the Spanish flu pandemic which was caused by a form of the H1N1 strain of flu which infected 40% of the world’s population and killed more than 50 million people mainly affecting young people. I never knew that which is odd seeing as I come from a family of medics. In 1957 there was the Asian flu which killed 2 million people and was caused by the human form of the virus. It mainly affected old people. And in 1968 there was an outbreak in Hong Kong which killed up to 1 million people which mainly affect old people. So, essentially, if you’re old, you’re screwed?! Is that a fair conclusion? 
On a lighter note…

yes, I am very obsessed with edward, but i think it is more Robert Pattinson, than actual edward. & yes, I definately reccommend the film
I think that swine flu will be like bird flu, everyone will be all panicked over it, then it will just sort of slip into the background.

My teachers normally tell us when the Mocks are but sometimes they don’t tell us at all so one day it’ll be like “Right guys you have a mock” and I’ll be like “You never prepared us” and she’ll be like “Try your best”. For me I would end up getting a F cos I have goldfish memory. Seriously I can hardly remember what I’ve been doing last night!

Honestly no. Cos it is spreading and killed nearly 200 people in Mexico. Over reaction is better than no reaction? Idk xD

Well done for doing your New Years resolution! that’s a really good one actually, I can’t remember what mine was! It is sad how texts and emails has taken over, but that’s technology for you.
My mum is a nurse so she got it too because they have all these chats in work. It’s kind of annoying when we are watching Holby City and she’s like ‘Oh, they’re doing it all wrong!’
I am not a fan of Lady Gaga’s music but I don’t think she is a bad person or anything. I don’t know her. I am into indie style music, I like Get Cape Wear Cape Fly at the moment.
I wrote letters to this penpal ages ago but then I didn’t get a reply so I am guessing he moved and didn’t tell me. Kthnx.

That swine flu seems really scary. Didn’t it say that it’s going to die down but then come back even bigger in the Autumn? It seems scary.

I do seem to have some spare time on my hands…more than I expected, which can only be a good thing.
I have that with teacher’s it’s all ‘pratice pratice pratice’ it’s not really revision, it’s just something for us to do while they sit around and do nothing. Ergh.

Ha. I think it’s important that we’re prepared, just in case it does become a ‘pandemic’. But like, come on, even BBC news was acting like The Sun newspaper.
We have a better health care service than Mexico, it’s fairly unlikely that we’ll all just suddenly drop dead.

the only letters I used to write were to santa, or my pen pals, and I lost contact to both.
The meanest thing a teacher has done is probably… my old english teacher, she just hates me, so everything she did was mean.
I was talking about Swine flu in biology today, and according to my teacher, we are all over reacting masively. If you take it into account that 300 people died of normal flu in mexico last year, then you see that the media is scaring us all over not a lot.
Anddd, they are dying in mexico because they have a really rubbish health care system.
