Okay, you can now comment via this layout! The glitch took a while to fix but here we are. Yay! So comment away people!!! I have decided to re-write this post since 2 weeks passed whilst the glitch got fixed. And, before I start, I also have a new hostee so please check Rene out here. It’s so cool!

I have now started university. I moved in on Sunday 4 October and I think I can now say that I am settled. Well, my room looks nice and I have personalised it a lot compared to a lot of other people. If you click on the thumbnail below then you can see what I have done. I hope you like?!

Okay, so, as I have said, I am at university. In fact, I am at the University of Essex. Why Essex? Well, because it is the 5th best for Political Studies in the whole of the UK. That had just a bit to do with it… actually, a lot! I really love it here. My accommodation is a 15 minute walk from the main campus which is nice because it gives me the reflection time on the walk to and from my lectures and classes. But, when you are in a rush, as I often am, it is a pain in the rear hole.

We started lectures and classes this week and it is such a big step up from sixth form! I hear you say ‘D’uh, Steven! It is university!!!’ but still, I wasn’t expecting it to be this big a step if I am to be completely honest with you. Am I naive? They really shift the responsibility to you. For example, we are not told that we have to read certain books for the next lecture and class… they just expect us to have read the syllabus. I have gotten used to it now though. However, they are expecting me to read like 600 pages of academic stuff each week which is a hell of a lot! Is it not? Around five minutes ago, I was reading this book on the French Revolution – interesting stuff!

So, yeah, that is what is happening really. Oh yeah, I was ill for my first week here too… and I have given it to all of my flatmates. (and yes, that is meant to represent evil, somehow!) I have started the next stage in my life and you are able to follow me through it via Novajo… pretty awesome? I shall post soon and think of some new content too.
